Hello!
My name is Patrick Colon aka DJ Smokin' Dog. As a lifelong Chef, I've now created my own brand for DJing live parties, weddings, and bars/clubs as well as being able DJ support for bands and solo artists.
One of my favorite things in life is music. Growing up in Reno, I was fortunate enough to attend many live shows and become immersed in the music business. I picked up and moved my life to the far reaches of the Caribbean Sea, settling on St. Thomas, USVI. Here, I learned the true love of my life: Reggae Music.
From the origins of SKA/Rocksteady and Roots Reggae, I love the positive vibes and messages of One Love. After leaving the islands, I moved to beautiful Humboldt County and became further immersed in the new subgenre that many call California Reggae. Combined, they make for an excellent auditory experience.
I also hold a strong knowledge of Rock, Hip-Hop, Country, Punk, and oldies music. I love discussing music and want to provide the experience you're looking for.
Whatever your event, genre of choice, or other needs, I'm happy to help plan your event, and bring the tunes!

Aside from Music, I bring a professional but fun attitude, a great customer service IQ, as well as a knack for creating a great party.
I have twice created and managed "Reggae on the Creek" festivals in Winters, California. NorCal legends Mystic Roots Band, and Skunk Funk among other local favorites. DJ support was provided by Squarefield Massive and OG the DJ.
